Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year

Welcome back students.  We stand on the precipice of another exciting academic year.

I have had a restful yet refreshing summer and I hope you have too.  This year I will be teaching 3 different courses:  Advanced Placement: English Language and Composition; Honors English 10; English 10.  As you may know, I am also the coach of our school’s Varsity Girls and Coed Volleyball programs.  I share this information with you as the rationale behind my “office hours” policy:  Time is a scarce and precious resource which I must manage efficiently to do my job effectively.  I am available (almost any day) by appointment only, which means that drop-ins should be on an extreme emergency basis only.  The best ways to communicate with me are either face-to-face in the classroom, electronically via email or by commenting on this blog.

I hope that you will utilize all of the resources that I have posted and will continue to post in the future.  If you are absent from class for any reason, accessing this blog should be your first course of action.  Many times, you will find everything you need to get caught up posted here.

If you have not done so already, I strongly suggest that you look down at the bottom right of this page (some browsers may put the button in another place, so if you don’t see it, look around) and click “Follow” immediately.  Fill in the required information and you will receive updates when I make changes on this blog.

Together, we embark.
