AP Registration, last call

Yeah, the last report I have still has less than 50% of my students registered for the AP Lang exam. Please register now. If you do not sit for the AP exam, you will sit for a final for the class (which is an old AP exam). So why not just take it and get credit? Pay now, that’s true, but way cheaper than paying for those same credits later at your post-secondary learnin’ institution.

Today is the last day for registration.

Click link, follow directions to register:

www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/210965

You have one week after today, until 3/23 for late registration (with $15 fee).

Trump Rhetoric

So my only excuse for this is the central focus of our course: rhetoric.

Several of you wrote your columns on this or a related topic, so I thought you might be interested.

The creator of Dilbert, Scott Adams explains why Trump is so persuasive (start with the 8/13/15 post called “Clown Genius” which Adams calls the most important post).

The Trump Master Persuader Index and Reading List

And this is just gratuitous:

Make Donald Drumpf Again

Electronic Comments

Hey all…please take the time to point your web browsers to turnitin.com and view the comments that I’ve left on your papers. This applies to both AP Lang and Honors 10 (Borges or Barthelme Analysis for Lang, and Achebe Analysis for Hon. 10).

I’m going to check the stats on the website tomorrow and if I don’t see you all viewing your comments, I’m going to make another assignment. This is not to be a pain, but I have taken a lot of time during my paternity leave to give you thoughtful comments. I think you’ll find them helpful.
